Thieves break into Rainbow Tavern in Maupin; Safe taken

The Rainbow Tavern in Maupin had some unwanted guests in the early morning hours of Thursday, Nov. 3.

A break-in was reported at 10:32 a.m. on Thursday morning after it was discovered, according to the Wasco County Sheriff’s log.

A safe was taken, and it is reported that it was estimated that there were a few thousand dollars in the safe at the time. The log states that camera footage might be available to help identify the suspects.
