The Dalles, Ore., Dec. 14, 2025 — The Dalles Public Library is offering a full slate of December programs, from concerts and holiday storytimes to gaming, crafts, and art classes for all ages throughout the month.

Monday, Dec. 15
Cozy Christmas Concert with Victor Johnson, 6 p.m. All ages are invited to celebrate the season with Victor Johnson and enjoy holiday ukulele music performed by the library’s ukulele class.

Monday, Dec. 15
Hanukkah Party, 4–5:30 p.m. The community is invited to celebrate Hanukkah with a storytime at 4 p.m., followed by games, crafts, treats and a candle lighting at 5 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 15
Meditative Mandala Take & Make, all day. All ages can pick up a seasonal mandala kit designed to promote calm and creativity. Materials are limited.

Tuesday, Dec. 16
Pokémon GO Club, 4–5:30 p.m. Registration required. Participants will form a walking party through downtown The Dalles to complete challenges, hatch eggs, follow routes and take on 5-star raid bosses.

Wednesday, Dec. 17
Holiday Movie Matinee, 4 p.m. Enjoy a classic animated Christmas film based on a beloved Dr. Seuss story.

Wednesday, Dec. 17
Nintendo Switch and Xbox Gaming, 3:45–4:45 p.m. Teens can stop by the teen room to play video games on the library’s Nintendo Switch and Xbox.

Thursday, Dec. 18
Colonel Wright Elementary Troubadours Caroling, 10:30 a.m. Students from Colonel Wright Elementary will perform festive holiday carols at the library.

Thursday, Dec. 18
Guided Watercolor with Yvonne Pepin-Wakefield, 6 p.m. Registration required. Participants will learn new watercolor techniques or build on existing skills during this third-Thursday art class.

Friday, Dec. 19
Fun Fridays, 3–4:30 p.m., Children’s Wing. Weekly activities for kids ages 5–10, with rotating themes including arts, crafts, STEAM projects, Code-a-Pillars, Bee-Bots and games. Materials are first-come, first-served.

Friday, Dec. 19
Fun Fridays for Teens: DIY Winter Ornaments, 3:30–4:30 p.m., Teen Room. Teens 11 and older can create seasonal ornaments. Materials are limited.

Saturday, Dec. 20
RPG – Role-Play Games, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Ages 10 to adult are invited to join tabletop role-playing adventures. Games are non-serial, so newcomers can jump in anytime. Refreshments provided.
