The Dalles, Ore., Dec. 30, 2025 — The Dalles Public Library will host a full slate of family-friendly programs from Dec. 30 through Jan. 3, including craft nights, teen activities, live performances and an adults-only fantasy-themed evening.
Tuesday, Dec. 30
Family Craft Night: Tie Blankets, 5 p.m. The Dalles Public Library. Families are invited to make a cozy lap blanket to prepare for long winter nights. Free.
Wednesday, Dec. 31
Glue & Glitter: Fireworks Craft, 4:30–5:30 p.m. The Dalles Public Library makerspace. Create a dazzling, glittery fireworks display to celebrate the New Year. Designed for children with accompanying adults. Free.
Friday, Jan. 2
Prince and Princess Tea Party, 3–5 p.m. The Dalles Public Library meeting room. The third annual tea party includes dancing, crafts and light refreshments. Costumes are encouraged. Open to all ages. Free.
Fun Fridays for School-Age Kids, 3–4:30 p.m. The Dalles Public Library children’s wing. A rotating series of activities for children ages 5–10, including arts and crafts, games and STEAM learning. All are welcome. Free. Materials are limited.
Fun Fridays for Teens: Hot Cocoa Bombs Take and Make, 3:30–4:30 p.m. The Dalles Public Library teen room. Teens will craft hot cocoa bombs with chocolate and toppings, then freeze them to take home. Free.
Saturday, Jan. 3
First Saturday Performer: Heather Pearl, 11 a.m.–noon. The Dalles Public Library children’s wing. A family-friendly performance featuring juggling, magic and comedy. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free.
The Starlit Storykeepers’ Ball, 5:30–7:30 p.m. The Dalles Public Library meeting room. An adults-only fantasy-themed evening featuring formal or costume attire, light refreshments and curated literary displays. Registration is required and closes at 10 a.m. Jan. 3. Open to ages 18 and older.
