Community Art Installation: Weaving on the Loom — All day, The Dalles Public Library children’s wing. All ages are invited to help create a community tapestry by weaving yarn onto a shared loom. Materials available while supplies last.

The Stacks Have Leprechauns — A library scavenger hunt running all week at The Dalles Public Library. Find hidden leprechauns in the stacks and trade one per day at the front desk for a “gold coin.”

Monday, March 16
Springtime Suncatcher Take-and-Make Kit — All day at The Dalles Public Library. Pick up a kit to create a spring-themed suncatcher to hang at home. Materials available while supplies last.

Maker Monday: Catalogue Night — 5:30–7 p.m., Makerspace at The Dalles Public Library. Browse the makerspace catalog of craft and STEM projects, choose a project and create. Open to school-age youth, teens and adults.

Tuesday, March 17
Little Learners Lab: Exploring Shapes — 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m., children’s wing at The Dalles Public Library. A hands-on STEAM program for preschoolers focused on building, discovery and creative exploration. Children must attend with an adult.

St. Patrick’s Day Treasure Hunt — 3:30–7 p.m., The Dalles Public Library. Teens are invited to follow clues throughout the library to help St. Patrick find his lost treasure.

Pokémon GO! Club — 4–5:30 p.m., starting in front of The Dalles Public Library. Participants team up to complete Pokémon GO challenges and raid battles during a walk through downtown. Registration required.

Financial Literacy Workshop: Buying a Home — 5:30–6:30 p.m., Makerspace at The Dalles Public Library. WaFd Bank’s Shannon Wilkinson leads a class for adults on home buying and money management. Registration required.

Booked for a Walk — 9:30–10 a.m., beginning at The Dalles Public Library parking lot. A weekly community walk with snacks and drinks afterward. All paces welcome.

Nintendo Switch Gaming — 2:30–4 p.m., teen room at The Dalles Public Library. Teens can play games including Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. and Gang Beasts.

Thursday, March 19
Playdough Storytime — 10:30–11:15 a.m., children’s wing at The Dalles Public Library. A preschool storytime combining reading and playdough activities that support early literacy skills. Children must attend with an adult.

Thursday, March 19
Quilting with Corliss — 1–3 p.m., Makerspace at The Dalles Public Library. A hands-on sewing class for adults covering quilting techniques and tips. Registration required.
