United Way Rock the Holidays Benefit Concert is Tonight Dec. 10 at 4 PM
Hood River, Ore., December 10, 2023 — Tonight Rock Violinist Aaron Meyer will perform at the 12th Annual Rock the Holidays Benefit Concert to support United Way of the Columbia Gorge! There will be two concerts on Sunday, December 10th in the Gorge Room at the Best Western PLUS Hood River Inn.
Tickets can be purchased online, at the door, or at Waucoma Bookstore.
The Kids Concert is at 1 p.m.
The Main Concert is at 4 p.m.
United Way of the Columbia Gorge gave away 100 tickets to local families in need and 10 tickets to the Special Olympics of Hood River and The Dalles so that they could attend the concert.
“Aaron has a foundation of music education so we got sponsors from the community to sponsor the kids to come. So we have families from all over the community here which is really special,” said Caroline Grew, Executive Director of UWCG.
Meyer’s foundation offers financial assistance to music education students from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds.
There will also be a raffle with gift certificates from Celilo Restaurant and Bar, Doug's Hood River, Parts and Labor, Stoller Vineyards, Stave & Stone Winery, Cor Cellars, Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery, The Fruit Company, The Scheme of Things, Full Sail Brewing Company, Best Western PLUS Hood River Inn and Solstice Wood Fire Pizza.
All proceeds from the concert benefit the 27 non profit organizations that receive funding from The United Way of the Columbia Gorge.
