W 6th St. Bridge Pavement Preservation Project on April 14, 2026

The Dalles, Ore., April 6, 2026 — The City of The Dalles Public Works Department will work on a pavement preservation project on the W 6 th Street Bridge on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, weather permitting.
West 6th Street Bridge – Full street closure Tuesday, April 14, 2026, during work hours.
Please take alternate routes.
Work hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians are asked to use detours around the work zone during work hours. The street will be reopened to the traveling public at 3:30 p.m.
The purpose of this project is to repair ruts and damaged areas of asphalt on the bridge.
This street work is expected to restore the pavement structure and provide a smoother and safer roadway.
Please proceed with caution around work areas during construction times and observe all temporary traffic control devices. Thank you for your attention to traveling safety during this work.
