What's the best garden? Beer Garden
The Dalles, Ore., Aug. 9, 2024 — Chris McPherson with Crestline Construction makes fast work of a ratchet strap holding a trailer full of fencing.
The 19-year-old was working at the Wasco County Fair Grounds on Friday morning as the event center is being prepped for the upcoming Fair, Aug. 15- 18.
McPherson said they would be setting up the fences to properly create a beer garden for the all the great action next week including a rodeo and demolition derby.
The weatherman says we may be in luck as temperatures toward the end of next week are predicted to be in the lower 80s.
No so lucky today as temps are climbing into the high 90s.
A freshly groomed arena at the Wasco County Fairgrounds beckons near Tygh Valley. Fortunes will be won and lost next week as the Fair kicks into high gear with a rodeo. A laser drone show and live music also look to liven things up.
