The Dalles, Ore., Oct. 30, 2024 — Public Works employees with the City of The Dalles packing and prep a ditch so that it could be repaved near the intersection of East 16th Street and Dry Hollow Road this morning.
The work was required after a water line broke and flooded the street before being repaired earlier in the day. The work forced the closure of the section of road between 17th Street and Dry Hollow Road.
Locals woke to a chill morning in the 30s, today as The Fall is upon us. The National Weather Service is calling for highs in the 40s today and tomorrow and then it gets wet - there is a 100 percent chance of rain on Halloween Night with an estimated total rainfall of a quarter to a half-inch.
