Awakening Eye: Vendors and Set up for Cherry Fest underway

Forest Stewart

Forest Stewart of Nyssa Oregon was up and at ‘em on Washington Street in The Dalles as he was setting up his vendor booth for Cherry Fest this morning, April 21.

He was one of many as festivities are set to get underway this afternoon.

On the main entertainment stage today at Federal and Third streets will feature:

  • Tyler Boeh Beat Boxer & Comedian, 4:30 pm

  • Roll On - Tribute to Alabama band,  6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Temperatures look to be in the low 60s today and high 60s on Saturday with a limited chance of rain. The wind prediction is just 6 mph on Saturday as well. I’d still bring a coat, but nothing like a little positive weather news to bump up the energy.

Check out CCCNews’ Cherry Fest survival guide here.

Above, Frank Polehn, Aaron Larson and Megan Thompson work on signage for Cherry Festival this morning on Washington Street next to the Granada Theatre.
