Bingen Centennial Gameshow: A Sense of Place Pop-Up, September 14th

Bingen Centennial Gameshow: A Sense of Place Pop-Up, September 14th

Bingen, WA (Aug. 25, 2024) — The Sense of Place program announces the Bingen Centennial Gameshow, an interactive event to celebrate a century of history, community spirit, and Bingen locals. Hosted by Sarah Fox of Sense of Place, the event swaps traditional festivities for a lively mix of storytelling, trivia, and friendly competition.

“When the City of Bingen reached out about celebrating 100 years, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to have some fun. We’ve got a town with historic feuds, present-day heroes, paranormal encounters and that’s just the beginning!” – Sarah Fox, host/curator of Sense of Place.

The Bingen Centennial Gameshow will dig into the unexpected and under-told stories of the town and its people. Audience members will have the chance to play trivia, win prizes, and discover Bingen's past, present, and future from the people who know it best – locals. Special guests include:

Mayor Catherine Kiewit and former Mayors, "Bingen Betty" and Brian Prigel

Quinton Deo and Representatives from the Bingen Volunteer Fire Dept

Cristian Olivares, Civic Engagement at WAGAP

James Szubski of Margie’s Outdoor Store

Music from Terry Wake

Support for this event was provided by the City of Bingen Lodging Tax and a grant from the BNSF Foundation.
