The Wasco County Commissioners will host their regular meeting on August 3rd, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. via zoom.
Agenda items include:
A Secure Rural Schools (SRS) funding update from Arthur Smith. According to a staff memo, Wasco County will receive more than $350,000 in SRS.
The review of a Four Rivers Early Learning Hub Letter of Agreement through the Youth Think Program and the Columbia Gorge Education Service District that will approve spending $15,300 to provide a parenting education and support program.
An update from Kenny LaPoint, Executive Director of Mid-Columbia Community Action Council, on a memorandum of understanding pursuant of House Bill 4123, which declares that Oregon is in a state of emergency in terms of housing and homelessness, and defines terms for awarding grants to coordinated homeless response systems.
And a Columbia River Gorge Commission Climate Change Action Plan presentation from Krystyna Wolniakowski.
Discussion topics for the meeting include the annual property tax summary, a Civic Auditorium funding request, a The Dalles Museum commission appointment of Paulette Brooks, and the Mid-Columbia Center for Living Financial Services statement of work for information services provided by the County.
