The Dalles, Ore., Oct. 27, 2025 — While heavy rains had many running for shelter on Saturday, this bridge of color ensured The Dalles’ beauty under the threat of stormy skies.
Our good friend Mike Nagle captured this gem around 2 p.m., as the area received some much-needed “wheat maker,” while local farmers worked to finish seeding crops for next summer’s harvest.
Local rain gauges recorded more than three-tenths of an inch of rainfall on Saturday.
The week ahead will bring shifting skies across The Dalles — Monday calls for variable cloudiness with a few showers and a high near 57 °F, followed by a mostly cloudy Tuesday with similar temperatures. Wednesday will feel more springlike, with sunshine breaking through and highs around 62 °F, before Thursday’s mix of partial sun and highs near 58. Friday cools to about 51 °F under thick clouds and a chance of drizzle, while Saturday sees intermittent rain and highs near 59. The weekend wraps up Sunday with some sunshine and a comfortable high of about 58 °F.
