Snowy with the chance of running into Steve Palmer

Steve of Steve’s Towing said he still had some irrigation pipes to blow out with the compressor and he also said he was retired from the towing business, noting he missed his due date by eight years. I bet he does not miss the calls on icy cold nights like were about to have. The National Weather Service is forcasting Rain, possibly mixed with snow and freezing rain tonight.

Spring is bark, bark, bark, barking

Jorge Valdez of The Dalles works on the beds in front of Casey Eye Institute on 7th Street in The Dalles this morning under overcast skies. Mother Nature is looking to prime the pump this weekend with showers predicted through Sunday in the area, but then breaking way to a week of mostly sunny days. Get the shades out and see if you can find that half-tube of sunscreen!

C...C...C...COLD OUT THERE!

Enrique Reyna, 29, of The Dalles takes a quick corner with a zeor-turn Kubota mower this morning, April 5, as winds and light rain blasted from the west at Thompson Track. Temperatures were in the high 30s and apparently much colder atop the Columbia Hills above Dallesport as you can see they were capped with some white stuff in the last 24 hours.

Rollin', Strollin', Heart Rate Goin'

Robert Wells-Clark, 34, and his daughter Isla got rolling on Riverfront Trail despite a small squall that came in this morning, Monday, Feb. 8. Forecasters are calling for colder temperatures at the end of the week with the low on Friday at 11 degrees. Hear what our own prognosticator has to say about it.

Looking on the brighter side

A walker strides past some incredible views at Sorosis Park in The Dalles this morning, Tuesday, Dec. 8. A crisp 35 degrees and some opening skies shed a bit more light on things this morning. Sunny skies are expected through Wednesday with a high of 53 degrees Fahrenheit. Chances of rain are increasing starting on Thursday with snow forecast in the upper elevations.
