E-bike rider injured in crash on West 2nd St. on May 28

The Dalles, Ore., May 29, 2025 — A local man was severely injured when he crashed on his e-bike on west Second Street near the Post Office drop boxes around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28.

Witnesses said the man sustained severe head trauma during the crash and Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue could be seen performing CPR on the man shortly thereafter.

Several private individuals stopped their vehicles in the road around the wreck to provide assistance and The Dalles Police Department provided the initial emergency response to the incident.

CCCNews is gathering additional information on the crash and will update this report as details become available.

Shortly after the crash, a Mid-Columbia ambulance was observed transporting a patient to Adventist Hospital at 6:42 p.m. and a Lifeflight helicopter flew from the hospital toward Portland at 7:05 p.m. We will report back additional information to confirm whether these facts are related.
