It’s likely to be a hazy day. Smoke from Californian and Washington wildfires will be rolling over western Oregon and Washington Friday, and possibly into Saturday. Areas local to the White River Creek Fire will also continue to be impacted.

According to today’s USFS Fire Air Quality Response Program Smoke Outlook for the Columbia River Gorge smoke impacts from the White River Fire May be seen locally in Pine Grove, Wamic and Juniper Flats. Down canyon winds in the evening will bring White River Fire smoke down into Tygh Valley and Maupin. This area may also be impacted by smoke from the Lionshead and Evans Creek Fires in Yakima County.  Winds will be terrain driven today with gusts in the afternoon that may help clear out smoke in the areas local to the White River Creek Fire

Today’s Smoke Outlook also said in it’s report that The Evans Creek Fire will bring smoke into the Columbia River Gorge and into The Dalles and possibly Hood River overnight.
