String - A Musical

Book by Sarah Hammond

Music & Lyrics by Adam Gwon

Directed by Joe Garoutte

Music Directed by Dan Kenealy

After angering Zeus, the Fates, the goddess sisters who spin, measure, and cut the strings of human life, are banished from Olympus to live on Earth among the mortals. Thousands of years later, they're running a covert operation out of a modern skyscraper, quietly weaving the destinies of the humans around them. When eldest sister Atropos loses her enchanted scissors, she encounters Mickey, the building's overnight security guard, seeking his help to find them, and finds herself falling for him in the process. Defying everything she stands for, she steals his string to make him immortal. But bending the rules of fate has consequences. Can the universe survive the flaw? Fall for this uplifting musical about fate, love, and the imperfections that make us human.

A Masquerade Latin Dance Social

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

A Masquerade Latin Dance Social

Crush Cider Café, Hood River

Friday, July 31, 7:00-9:30 p.m.

All levels welcome

What to expect:

Open social dancing: salsa, bachata, kizomba, cumbia, cha cha & more

Cider, tasty menu, good company, and dancing.

Step into an enchanted forest where the moonlight meets the rhythm. Inspired by Shakespeare's most magical tale, this Friday night transforms Crush Cider Café into a midsummer dreamscape — masks, mystery, and the irresistible pull of the dance floor under string lights and starlight.

Come dressed as your most enchanted self — fairies, lovers, mischief-makers, and midnight wanderers welcome. Masks are encouraged (the more whimsical, the better) for an evening where anything feels possible and every dance feels like a spell. Don't have a mask? No worries — we'll have some on hand for you. Bring a partner, bring a friend, or come alone and let the night surprise you.

See you on the dance floor.

All members of Pigs on the Wing are seasoned veterans of the Pacific NW rock scene and are unapologetic in bringing their wide-ranging musical influences to the table.
