Hood River, Ore., April 13, 2026 — Community members in Hood River are invited to gather on Wednesday, April 15, for a live-stream watch party of the annual Ageless Awards, a statewide event recognizing Oregonians age 75 and older who continue to lead, serve, and make a difference in their communities.

The free event will be held at One Community Health, 849 Pacific Ave., in the Castañares Conference Room. Light refreshments will be available at 11:15 a.m., followed by the program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch.

Hosted locally by Age+ Foundation board member Tina Castanares, the Hood River gathering will coincide with other watch parties across the region, including a similar event in The Dalles.

The Ageless Awards, presented annually by the Age+ Foundation, aim to challenge ageism and highlight the ongoing contributions of older adults throughout Oregon. This year’s honorees include Judy Boyer, Tony Leineweber, and Jo Anne Sutherland.

Organizers say the event offers an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate positive aging, and recognize the value older adults bring to communities across the state.

The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
