Hood River, Ore., October 10, 2023 – The Sandy River Delta parking lot will be closed for re-striping during the mornings of Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 11 and 12. These dates are subject to change depending on the weather.

The purpose of this project is to clean up the parking lot, remove debris, and repaint the current parking area lines. To ensure that no one enters the parking lot while the contractor is working and machinery is in operation, the lot will be completely closed in the morning on both days and will reopen at noon.

The Sandy River Delta is a 1,500-acre natural area that offers horseback riding, hiking, biking, wading, and more. The parking lot and access road will be closed to all visitors during the re-striping process. Visitors are encouraged to visit other nearby recreation areas during this time.
