North Central Public Health will hold a COVID and flu vaccine clinic this Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 15-17, in The Dalles at 523 E. 3rd St., at the former Griffith Motors building, across from Sawyer’s and Grinders Coffee. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. No appointment, insurance, or ID is needed.
The Dalles First Friday events will be in full swing on Sept. 2 as local merchants find ways to give back to local schools and stay open until 8 p.m. Kaahreena Ochoco will hit her four-month mark at the event and will be giving to kindergarten teacher Courtney Middleton, while showing off her resale and consignment store, Per Diem Thrifts.
Artist Todd Simmler of The Dalles will have his metal displays created from found objects in scrap yards at the HUB, 420 E. First St., across from Sedition Brewing on Laughlin Street. It is one of the numerous events downtown businesses will be holding as the commercial district will be “alive after 5” p.m. with special events, sales and music.
Over 30 businesses will be open late Friday, June 3 as a grassroots movement is fueling some really fun times in downtown The Dalles. Businesses will feature their favorite things about summer. From sidewalk chalk art, live music, special treats, grand openings and more it will be an amazing night to kick off the summer. Hours 5 to 8 p.m.
More than 30 downtown businesses in The Dalles are pairing up with food and beverage businesses tonight, May 6, to bring locals a Taste of the Gorge. Beer, wine, meats, cheese, guitars and even hat contests are on tap as TD comes alive for First Friday in its second rendition. Grab your appetite and a lust for fun. And see you there!
