What a weekend. This year’s Cherry Fest drew thousands this year as a 2 and half hour parade with more than 90 entries anchored the downtown festival that had kids clamoring for rides, fries and cherry pies. The smoked meat mac sandwich was another major bomb along with the foot-long corndogs. Earth Day events and the Quilt show added other great dimensions to the fest. See you there next year. In the meantime, take a look at all the fun we had!
The Snow Sisters and Goldendale Reindeer Farm are creating a ton of holiday magic for local youths this Christmas Season as they offer events around the Gorge. Tegan Shermikas takes along for the ride as the Sisters work their magic. Sounds pretty fun. We wish we were 5 again.
Activities include a color run/walk, pronoun button-making and “Let’s taco ‘bout it,” which will feature tacos, an informational discussion of LGBTQ+ issues and a viewing of the documentary Texas Strong. Interested people may RSVP for the events, request accessibility accommodations, and get the Zoom links by emailing EQUAL@cgcc.edu.
