Halloween Happenings Across the Gorge: A Guide to Spooky Fun from Oct. 25 to Nov. 1
The Dalles, Ore., Oct. 21, 2025 — From haunted walk-throughs and trunk-or-treats to costume contests and live music, the Mid-Columbia Gorge will be crawling with Halloween events for all ages this season. Here’s your guide, sorted by date and location.
Saturday, Oct. 25
The Dalles – Halloween Party at the Park
Sorosis Park will host a potluck-style Halloween Party starting at 4 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring a dish and join in for games, music, dancing, and a costume contest.
Wednesday, Oct. 29
The Dalles – Spooktacular Candy Crawl
Mid-Columbia Medical Center’s Family Medicine Clinic (1620 E. 12th St.) invites kids to a safe and cozy indoor trick-or-treat experience from 4–6 p.m. Children can meet doctors and staff while collecting candy in costume.
Hood River – Halloween Party
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1825 May St.) will host a family Halloween Party from 6:30–8 p.m. The event includes trunk-or-treating and games for kids.
Thursday, Oct. 30
The Dalles – Trunk or Treat at Columbia Gorge Toyota
Columbia Gorge Toyota and Honda (1900 W. 6th St.) will hold their annual Trunk or Treat from 5–7 p.m. The event includes a bounce house, free popcorn and cotton candy, and a costume contest for both adults and kids. Friday, Oct. 31 – Halloween Night
The Dalles – Hallo-FREAKIN’-ween Party at River City Saloon
The River City Saloon (315 Federal St.) will throw a monster-themed bash starting at 8:30 p.m. DJ sets, costume prizes, and a raffle benefiting The Dalles Art Center highlight this 21+ event. No cover charge.
The Dalles – Die Hollow 2025
The fifth annual Die Hollow opens at 6 p.m. at 930 E. 19th St. The walk-through haunt features live actors, animatronics, lighting effects, and candy giveaways at the Witches Hovel. Admission is free, but there’s no dedicated parking or restrooms.
The Dalles – Bargeway Halloween Party
Bargeway Pub (1535 Bargeway Rd.) hosts a costume party with live music by Walk Through Fire and Halloween-themed food and drink specials beginning at 6 p.m.
Hood River – Festival of Light
Covenant Hood River (455 Frankton Rd.) offers a family-friendly “Festival of Light” from 5–8 p.m. with food, games, inflatables, a Bible character hunt, and hot pressed cider. Costumes are welcome, but scary ones are discouraged. For more information, contact cchr@gorge.net or call (541) 386-8805.
White Salmon – Toddler/Preschooler Halloween Party
At Mt. View Grange #98 (301 Dewalt Dr.), toddlers and preschoolers can dance and sing with Red Yarn, a family performer who blends folk music and puppetry. The party runs from 10–11 a.m.
White Salmon – Downtown Halloween Events
Downtown White Salmon will come alive with trick-or-treating and activities from 5–7 p.m. along East Jewett Boulevard. Events are free and open to the public.
Lyle – Trunk or Treat
The Lyle Activity Center (306 Klickitat St.) will host Trunk or Treating from 5–7 p.m., featuring homemade soup, bread, cocoa, and cider. Costume and trunk judging begins at 6 p.m. Volunteers can email lyleactivitycenter@gmail.com.
Goldendale – Halloween Trick-or-Treating
Downtown Goldendale (109 E. Broadway St.) will host Halloween Trick-or-Treating from 5–7 p.m. Several booths will hand out candy to children in costume.
Saturday, Nov. 1
The Dalles – Costume Fun Run
The TDHS HOSA (Future Health Professionals) will hold a Community Costume Fun Run at Sorosis Park. Races begin at 10 a.m. for 3K and 5K participants, and 11:30 a.m. for the kids’ 1K. Entry costs range from $3–$10.
