On October 26, 2025 at about 10:45pm City of The Dalles Police officers were alerted to a Burglary in progress at Grocery Outlet at 1300 west 6th street. Officers responded and the suspect was gone.

On September 12th, the St. Vincent de Paul Society Ministry food pantry received a boost this week thanks to the generosity of local shoppers and a community partnership with Grocery Outlet.

Cody Miller loves to break records, especially in fundraising. The local owner of Grocery Outlet in The Dalles has taken this theme to a whole new level of philanthropy as he teamed up with the St. Vincent De Paul Board to raise money for it’s food bank. They’re standing on the precipice of greatness.

Cody Miller’s recent return to The Dalles to operate Grocery Outlet did not come without some hard-earned experience. The 33-year-old essentially has been moving for the past 15 years, learning how to motivate people to keep a clean well-stocked store. He also avoided a couple of fists on the way. Read more here.
