Don’t forget your appetite — and your steak knife. The Dalles Kiwanis’ 70th annual Steak Feed returns Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5-7 p.m. at Sorosis Park, raising money for local youth programs and scholarships.

The Dalles Kiwanis Club meets Thursdays at noon at Spooky’s Pizza in The Dalles. Visitors are welcome. September programs and functions include the annual steak feed at Sorosis Park on Sept. 10.

I met my scalper, Kiwanian Dennis Morgan, in the parking lot. He set me up with two delightful tickets for my wife Peggy and myself with seating, well, anywhere we wanted. It appeared the crowd was prepared for the event, many bringing their own steak knives. Many opted for Orange Soda and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Oh wait, that was me.

The Dalles Kiwanis Steak Feed is the hot ticket for Thursday, Sept. 8th at Sorosis Park. The fundraiser in its 66th year is a local favorite and a great chance to have a steak dinner with neighbors and friends while giving back to your community. The weather is supposed to be perfect.
