Woodland Guide presumed drowned after boat swamps in Columbia at mouth of White Salmon
The missing boater has been identified as Michael Shufeldt of Woodland, WA. Michael was not located in the vicinity of the vessel and is presumed deceased. Additional searches of the area using an underwater remotely operated vehicle, have not located Michael at this time. Shufeldt is the owner of Reel Deal Fishing Adventures.

Woman dies after getting pinned in White Salmon River on July 15
A 58-year-old woman recently died after spilling out of a raft in the Upper White Salmon River. She was pinned under water for several minutes before a guide located her on Saturday, July 15. She died despite efforts to revive her and additional care at a nearby hospital.
Fire destroys trailer near mouth of White Salmon River
Volunteer firefighters from White Salmon, Bingen, and Klickitat County Fire District 3 responded to a trailer fire on Cook-Underwood Road near the mouth of the White Salmon River at 2:33 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
