The Lyle Community Council heard a proposal from Klickitat County Sheriff Bob Songer and Undersheriff Carmen Knopes about the potential of installing license-plate reading cameras throughout the county at the council’s Sept. 13 meeting. “It’s strictly for crime fighting. UPDATE NOV. 17th 2022 at 11:11 p.m.: As of November 17th, 2022 at 11:11 p.m there is an estimated 1 vote left to count in Klickitat County and the voter turnout in Klickitat County is at 72.52%. Klickitat County will certify the election results on the 29th and then send them to the Washington Secretary of State’s Office,. The Secretary of State Office has until Dec. 8th to certify the statewide results.
Klickitat County primary election results are still rolling in. Voter turnout has increased to 42.03% and the gap has widened to 359 votes in the Klickitat County Sheriff’s race.
