TD Planning gives eastside Subdivision final approval
The City of The Dalles Planning department recently sent a press release officially stating that The Grove Subdivision in East The Dalles on Richmond Street has been approved.
A majority of City Councilors had previously denied the subdivision based on safety concerns in part. And developers appealed the decision to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals, which found that municipal code was not “clear or objective” on several counts and reversed the decision allowing for the approval of the subdivision application.
The Dalles City Council had until March 17 to appeal that decision to the Oregon Court of Appeals.
However, the City of The Dalles has just released a notice of final decision that implements the order to approve the application for the subdivision.
The 80-unit complex is set on just less than seven acres and is being constructed by Legacy Development Group.
The planning department released this notice of decision on Wednesday, March 10.
