Saturday–Sunday, Jan. 18–24
Snowflake Scavenger Hunt, all day. The Dalles Public Library. All ages. Complete a seasonal scavenger hunt throughout the library and earn a small prize.
Monday–Saturday, Jan. 19–24
Pint-Sized Playdates, all day. The Dalles Public Library. Preschool and school-age children. Drop-in play program featuring themed tabletop activities. This week’s theme: National Parks and Nature. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Library closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Dalles Public Library.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
Nature, Art, and Service as Medicine with journalist Julia Hotz (virtual), 11 a.m.–noon. Teens and adults. Online discussion with the author of “The Connection Cure” exploring social prescribing and community-based wellness. Registration required.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
Little Learners Lab: Kids in STEAM, 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Children’s Wing, The Dalles Public Library. Preschool. Hands-on STEAM activities for toddlers and preschoolers. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pokémon GO! Club, 4–5:30 p.m. Meet in front of The Dalles Public Library. All ages. Group walk and gameplay through downtown or indoor activities depending on conditions. Registration and waiver required. Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Playdough Storytime, 10:30–11:15 a.m. Children’s Wing, The Dalles Public Library. Preschool. Early literacy storytime with hands-on playdough activities. Materials limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fun Fridays for Teens: Spoons, 3:30–4:30 p.m. Teen Room, The Dalles Public Library. Teens. Learn and play the fast-paced card game Spoons.

Rock Collection: Take & Make Kit, all day. The Dalles Public Library. School-age children, teens, and adults. Pick up a labeled rock sample and fact sheet while supplies last.

The Great Puzzle Competition, 2–4 p.m. Meeting Room, The Dalles Public Library. All ages. Team-based puzzle competition with prizes. Registration required.
