Critically acclaimed NW band The Standing makes their return to Hood River’s River City Saloon on Friday, Jan. 21. Specializing in
Stompgrass, Country, Rock and Bluegrass the music starts at 8 p.m. and there is no cover charge. 21+.
Big Rap Show coming March 5
According to critics, R.A.P. Ferreira “is known for an uncompromised, utopic flow that speaks directly to the root of the listener.” Also known as the founder of the Ruby Yacht label, Ferreira has been on constant tours since starting out over a decade ago in the Wisconsin hip-hop trio Nom de Rap.
Ferreira brings his newest touring show “There & Back Again,” featuring R.A.P. Ferreira & Friends, including rapper and multi-instrumentalist Sha Ray, on Saturday, March 5, to Hood River’s River City Saloon. A Shea Wooten Presents production.
Winter Music Fest of The Gorge, Jan 22nd
Winter Music Festival of The Gorge is a benefit for music programs in Hood River area schools, specifically the Matt Klee Memorial Fund, developed to celebrate Matt Klee’s life and dedication to bringing kids the experience of live music. Bands will include The Groove Cabin, The Junebug Boys, The Isolated Oscillators and the HRVHS Choir.
Concert runs on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 2-8 p.m. at The Ruins in Hood River.

‘Elvis, Sinatra’ show March 26th at The Dalles Eagles
Tickets go on sale Feb. 1 for a special concert featuring tributes to the biggest names in music: Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. Roger Anderson is one of the top Elvis tribute artists working today, and Jamie Goetz is an amazing sound-alike for ol’ Blue Eyes.
The concert is at The Dalles Eagles on Saturday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m.

‘97 Gold’ plays Jan 22nd
The Dalles Eagles welcomes the 97 Gold Band to the stage on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 7 to 11 p.m.

Community Night at Thunder Island Jan. 19
Celebrate the release of Thunder Island’s new Brave Noise Pale Ale and help Community Night with the featured non-profit Skamania County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault on Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 5-9 p.m. at Thunder Island Brewing in Cascade Locks. Proceeds go to “empower clients through education, promote equality and eliminate conditions which contribute to violence and abuse.”

Mid Columbia Community Concert Association presents Tray Dahl and Jugtime Ragband Tuesday, March 29, at The Dalles Civic Auditorium. Expect “an energetic combination of all the popular styles of the 1920s and 1930s, immersed in an early 20th century New Orleans sound.
