Gambling on Good Weather; Studs gotta be off by March 31

Oregon law allows for the use of studded tires through March 31, but some people lean toward taking them off a few weeks early to avoid the rush. And it is a bit of a gamble as the state has extended the use of studded tires several times when inclimate weather struck in late March.

But early removal might be a good bet.

Forecasters are calling for temps in the 50s and 60s through St. Patrick’s Day. All you need is a wee bit o’ the luck of the Irish.
