This Week’s Forecast

The National Weather Service said a winter weather advisory and winter storm warning is in effect for the entire Columbia River Gorge until January 4th at 10 p.m.

Local meterologist Temira Lital said the weather looked like the weather wasn’t about to let anyone off easy this week.

“Good morning, neighbors! Understatement of the day: the forecast seems to have verified. We have totals of 3-4” plus sleet in The Dalles, 12” in Hood River, 17” in Trout Lake, and 26” NEW snow in Carson and Mill A,” said  Lital in today’s weather forecast “If you want more info than that, read the Facebook TATAS post asking for totals from around the region. It does appear that we are in for more of this in many locations through Wednesday morning. After that: in comes the Pineapple Express, and it's no slouching slacker of an atmospheric river.”

Lital said Tuesday would likely more bring light snowfall to the region, that Wednesday would bring even more snow, and that the snowfall would followed by an ice storm on Thursday morning.

Mt Hood Meadows Snow Report stated they had received 195 inches of snow total this year.
