TD Council approves $10k Hiring Bonuses, $1.66 million in projects

The Dalles City Council approved $1.66 million in new projects including $400,000 for parks that will be paid for through federal dollars. Councilors also agreed to signing bonuses for officers willing to move laterally to The Dalles Police Department which is experiencing a staffing crisis. Richardson brings new face to TD Council

The Dalles City Council will welcome just one new City Councilor on Jan. 1 after four contested races on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Dan Richardson grabbed 3,968 votes in his race for Council Position 4 against John Grant, 1,258 votes, and F John Ercole, 596 votes, in unofficial Wasco County Election results.
