Stronger citizen oversight is what is needed to enforce the elected servants to do the will of the people.

Ms. Drazan’s extremist views and agenda have been previously rejected, and the voters in Oregon should reject her second attempt to achieve her extremist agenda.

I wish fervently that Trump were more concerned about the actual wellbeing of children and all citizens rather than creating theatrics to attempt to boost low polling numbers.

John Nelson, a former educator himself, has devoted a huge amount of time and energy serving on this board already from his current and past service in this capacity. As a former Board member, I have had the opportunity to see his thoughtfulness, concern for children and educators alike, and a genuine interest in helping improve the educational system in action.

I have known John Nelson for over 10 years, first as a SMART volunteer reader, and later in Kiwanis. John’s history of public service is impressive. He was an Elementary School teacher for 24 years with 21 years of service at the Warm Springs Elementary School.

I know John to be sincere in his support of public education, he wants the best for all the kids in D21. He is also kind, open minded, and interested in learning things himself which makes him a natural leader and facilitator.

I wholeheartedly endorse John Nelson for the Zone 4 seat on the board. Not only does he have significant experience being on the school board, he is a former educator who taught for more than 24 years.

John has served for 12 years on the board, through many challenging and turbulent times, always trying to help our school district weather the storms, while caring for and educating our children the best it can.

The value of an open space that we can enjoy for our health and well being cannot be underestimated. Instead of selling it to the highest bidder who will turn it into private property and use the 31 acre parcel for their own use and profit, the land should be kept for the community, plants, and animals that have an oasis there, a refuge from the highly managed orchards and encroaching development.

Yesterday I was horrified as I watched Trump AND Vance attack Zelensky. As bad as it is, if you haven't seen it, you need to. You need to know what we are living under at this time. I am certain that if the Courts do not uphold the Constitution in the next few weeks, the United States of America will no longer exist as a democracy. We are barely one right now.
