36-year-old Goldendale woman killed in car crash on Saturday in Hood River

Hood River, Ore., Jan. 6, 2024 - The Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash that took the life of a Goldendale woman near Exit 62 on Interstate 84 in Hood River on Saturday, January 6th at around 9 p.m

The investigation determined a blue Chevrolet Colorado left Exit 62 off-ramp from I-84 and drove Westbound for an unknown reason.

The Chevrolet left the roadway on the exit ramp, went over the guardrail, and down an embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its roof in the parking lot of the Columbia Cliff Villas.

The driver, Miranda Kaylyn Arche, 36, of Goldendale, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger was transported via Life Flight to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington.

The highway was not impacted during the on-scene investigation. At this time, speed is a suspected contributing factor to the crash.

Here is a view of Columbia Cliff Vistas next to Westcliff Drive near the Exit 62 offramp on Interstate 84 in Hood River. Police are investigating the cause of an accident that took the life of a 36-year-old Goldendale woman.

The Oregon State Police was assisted by the Hood River Police Department, Hood River County Sheriff's Office, Hood River Fire Department, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
