Winds rolling out of the west at over 32 miles per hour is making the fire difficult to battle.

An additional structure caught fire at 100 Dow Road as the fire spotted across Highway 197. The structure fire was proving difficult to thwart but was brought under control by 4 p.m.

Responding fire agencies include Dallesport, Rural 7 Fire, Klickitat Fire, Appleton Fire, Wishram Fire, Bingen Fire, Goldendale Fire, and High Prairie Fire, according to Columbia Gorge Wildland Fire& Information page.
