Doing so can cause grounding of all aircraft, hampering effective fire response,” stated a joint press release from the Oregon Department of Forestry and the State Fire Marshal.

Fire Round Up: Boulder still a smolder; Deschutes and The Devil die down
Fire managers say the Boulder Fire is now 10 percent contained and a revised estimate of the blaze shows it at 238 acres. The incident team is loaded with personnel and equipment to battle the blaze burning in downed timber in steep terrain. At the same time, firefighters are continuing to seek out hotspots and flare-ups on the Deschutes River and Devils Butte fires which charred thousands of acres.
