This Fourth of July, The Dalles High school will host a Fourth of July Rocket Run, on July 4th at 7 a.m. at Bargeway Pub & Catering! (Day of registration open at 6:30 a.m.) This all-day celebration not only commemorates Independence Day but also fosters community spirit and health.

On Monday June 13th, Mayor Rich Mays and The Dalles City Council honored six of the Riverhawk Track squad, in recognition of their high achievement at the State meet and their season- or two- of hard work.
Two The Dalles High School robotics teams battled it out at the Vex Robotics World Championship on May 5th, 6th, and 7th in Dallas, TX. Competition was fierce as 818 teams battled it out to become the Vex Robotics world champion. “Eleven teams from Oregon had qualified for the tournament but only three made it to the elimination round and our teams made up two of those three,” said Webber.
Robotics isn’t what most people think of when it comes to a high school education but now, more than ever, classes like Charles Webber’s at TDHS, are of growing importance. By the time these students graduate in the next few years, over half of the available jobs around the globe will be in the STEM field.

While it may not look like your typical classroom, it's just another day for Taylor Alsheimer in his Advanced Mechanics class. Nestled in the basement of The Dalles High School, Alsheimer’s room has the feel and function of a real repair shop.
North Wasco County Public School District 21 hosted a listening session to hear staff and community questions and concerns about returning to full-time in-person learning on August 30th. Stakeholder feedback was then incorporated into D21’s 2021-2022 Back to School Plan during the school board work session.
