Bargeway Pub Presents Live Music Featuring Kevin Selfe and The Tornado on Sat. April 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Kevin Selfe developed a swampy, primal sound that is reminiscent of humid, summer evenings in the rural South. He relocated to Portland, OR in 2007 where he is now a leading light in the Pacific Northwest’s robust blues revival.
Kevin Selfe and The Tornadoes have become a fan favorite in the Northwest and beyond. In August 2013, Kevin was nominated for a Blues Blast Award, and the band was inducted into the Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame.

The Button Bridge Comedy Jamboree April 21-22
The Button Bridge Comedy Jamboree is coming to downtown Hood River Friday and Saturday, April 21-22 with a jam-packed weekend of comedy events featuring Kyle Kinane, Bernice Ye, Shain Brenden and comedy legend Susan Rice. Comedy workshops for kids, open mics and a collaboration with Gorge Speakeasy for comedic storytelling are planned.

Columbia Gorge Drum Circle meets
A monthly Improvisational Drum Circle In Hood River is planned, starting on Friday, April 21, at 7 p.m. The group will meet in the Hood River Port area (grassy area adjacent to the Hood River Yacht Club or on the beach depending on weather conditions). Bring your drum or other percussive things like shakers, rattles, bells and sticks. Be prepared to “share rhythm, dance and ancient wildness.”

42nd Northwest Cherry Festival highlights "Homegrown Happiness"
Cherry Fest returns to The Dalles April 21-23 promoting a theme of “Homegrown Happiness.” Featuring a parade, live music, classic car shows and more, the 42nd annual Northwest Cherry Festival features memorable events for locals and visitors.

Actors needed for ‘Timewinder Tales’
The History Museum of Hood River County and Big Britches Productions is seeking five actors to portray people from Hood River's past for this year's production of Timewinder Tales. Casting Call is at The Bingen Theater on Thursday, April 27 and Tuesday, May 2 (both dates 7 p.m.). Formerly known as Cemetary Tales, Timewinder Tales are designed to “bring history to life and is perfect for bringing out the history lover in you.”

Gorges Group Run April 15
A Group Run sponsored by Gorges Beer Co. in Cascade Locks happens Saturday, April 15, at 10 a.m.
“You can choose between a 5- and 10-mile route - both will have a combination of roads and trail. The 5-mile option will head over to the Pacific Crest Trail Trail Head near the Bridge of the Gods, head up to Dry Creek Falls, then drop back down the trail along Dry Creek into town. The 10-mile option will go to Dry Creek Falls, then continue over on the PCT to Herman Creek before dropping back down and taking Forest Lane through Cascade Locks on the return trip. Whichever distance you choose, Gorges will be providing the first pint free. So whether you are a long-time fan of Gorges, or have been looking for an excuse to check it out, come join us for a group run and post-run gathering in the pub on Saturday, April 15.”
