Wasco County Man Accused in Child Sex Abuse Case Skips Sentencing, Warrant Issued

The Dalles, Ore., May 15, 2026 — A nationwide warrant has been issued for a Wasco County man after prosecutors said he failed to appear for sentencing in a child sex abuse case Wednesday.
Lucas Blevins, 31, of The Dalles, allegedly skipped his scheduled sentencing hearing after previously pleading guilty to multiple charges connected to the sexual abuse of a young girl, according to reports from Portland television station KPTV.
Court records cited by KPTV show Blevins pleaded guilty May 7 to three charges related to the abuse. Prosecutors reportedly expected him to receive a prison sentence of approximately 19 years. Because he failed to appear in court, that sentence could increase to as much as 23 years.
Investigators believe Blevins may be traveling south of Bend in a dark-colored 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with Oregon license plate 110 NBG. Authorities said they do not know where he may be headed.
The case stems from an investigation that began in January 2025, when The Dalles Police Department arrested Blevins on allegations involving a child victim. At the time, police said he was lodged at NORCOR on charges including first-degree sodomy and first-degree sex abuse.
Anyone with information about Blevins’ whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency dispatch line at 541-296-5454.
