Lyle Fire & Rescue District #4's has received $35,890 towards their $55,000 goal to replace their aging water tender, which has served the community for nearly four decades.

The Lyle Fire & Rescue District #4 is asking the community for help raising $90,000 to replace their aging water-carrying vehicle, affectionately known as "Tender #405" which has served the community valiantly for 39 years, and is in dire need of retirement due to its deteriorating condition.

Updated July 21, 2023 10:45 p.m. A fast spreading 6,000 acre fire is raging in Fire District 9 area of Newell Grade/ Newell Road. The fire is reported to have multiple heads. Bickleton Fire, Rural 7 and WA DNR hae responded to the fire.
