Riverhawks Football Team Loses to Ridgeview in a Tough one
The Dalles Riverhawks football team played against the Ridgeview Ravens last night in Redmond at 7 PM. It was the 6th game of the season for the Hawks and they, unfortunately lost 49-12.

The Dalles Riverhawks football team plays against the Ridgeview Ravens tonight at 7 PM in Redmond. Ridgeview is a very good team with their record being 7-1 with their only loss being to Hood River Valley who beat the Hawks 54-6 last week.
TDHS Cross Country competes strong in Pendleton, gets preview of districts' course
Thursday, Oct. 14, was the Intermountain Conference’s “Preview” meet at Birch Creek Golf Course in Pendleton, the same course they will run for districts on the 27th. The competition was formidable, and so were the Riverhawks.
Candlelight Vigil Planned for Survivors of Domestic Violence
HAVEN and Wasco County Domestic Violence Council will gather with community partners to host “An Evening of Light” to honor survivors of domestic violence with a candlelight vigil on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be virtual this year due to the pandemic.

The Dalles Riverhawks volleyball team played against the Pendleton Buckaroos at 6:30 PM last night and it was an exciting match. Coming into the match, the Hawks were hoping for redemption since the last time these two teams played each other the Buckaroos won 3-2. This time around the Riverhawks won 3-2.

History Proves Prickly for Local Mural Project
The Dalles Main Street’s volunteer Walldogs subcommittee will be hosting a voting and public input event* at The National Neon Sign Museum on Oct. 15th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The group is seeking votes and public input in deciding 15 new themes for historical murals to be painted in downtown The Dalles next summer. The recent release of themes, images and descriptions of proposed murals has led to an outpouring of concerns from local organizations and community members. Concerned citizens pointed to a lack of diversity in the mural topics and the inclusion of individuals and enterprises that were directly responsible for the murder of hundreds of indigenous peoples. Also brought up was the omission of marginalized community members voices in the mural topic selection process and a lack of collaboration with local organizations and artists.

The Dalles Riverhawks volleyball team takes on the Pendleton Buckaroos at 6:30 PM at the Wahtonka gym. This is the second league game against Pendleton this year with the Hawks losing a tough 3-2 match.

As random as a field near Heppner may seem, and despite the crunchy stubble underfoot, the course is remarkably flat and forgiving; the home team, coached by Russ Nichols, is consistently strong and competitive: both good reasons why over a dozen teams, including the Riverhawks, TDMS Wildcats, and St. Mary’s- came to run the Mustang Invitational last Thursday.

The Dalles high school volleyball team played 3 games against the Crook County Cowboys and competed very well in each one. There were lots of fans and supporters there with the theme being Pink out. Unfortunately, they lost all 3 games.

TDHS Girls Soccer Beat Hood River for the First Time in 13 Seasons
The Dalles Riverhawks soccer team played the Hood River Valley Eagles yesterday in The Dalles. The Hawks haven’t beaten HRV in 13 seasons and the Hawks were ready to beat that streak. The last time these two teams played HRV beat the Hawks in double overtime in the IMC playoffs. The Hawks were out for revenge and succeeded at getting it winning 2-1.
