On Thursday September 15, 2022 Deputies from the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested 30-year-old David J. “DJ” Wentworth . Wentworth was arrested near Goldendale Washington on Oregon State Parole Board warrants for violating parole. Wentworth is a suspect in the September 9th shooting of a male adult on west second street in The Dalles.

Mid-Columbia Housing Authority, in partnership with Columbia Cascade Housing Corp. and the Oregon Law Center will host two bilingual Landlord and Tenant Law information and Q&A events in Hood River and The Dalles.

I met my scalper, Kiwanian Dennis Morgan, in the parking lot. He set me up with two delightful tickets for my wife Peggy and myself with seating, well, anywhere we wanted. The Dalles High School Cross Country team went for a run in the mud last weekend in Tillamook. And today, Sept. 8, they host the Bridget Nelson Invitational for the first time at The Dalles Country Club. Races begin at 3 p.m.

Oregon Worker Relief announced a new round of financial assistance to immigrant Oregonians who have lost work due to the pandemic, but are excluded from other relief programs based on their immigration status. Affected workers can apply to receive between $625 and $2,500, depending on their situation.

Mid Columbia Fire and Rescue Capt. Eric Blumenthal offers up a boot to a driver who loves peace on Third Street, The Dalles near Clock Tower Ales. They are collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) from drivers-by until 4 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 2.

The fundraiser in its 66th year is a local favorite and a great chance to have a steak dinner with neighbors and friends while giving back to your community. The weather is supposed to be perfect.
