UPDATE: Wasco County Bans Fireworks amid Heatwave
The City of Dalles is enacting a fireworks ban in the city limits through July 9 because of the historic heatwave the region is currently undergoing. Multiple cities in the region, including Hood River, are following suit. The ban will have no effect on large aerial displays permitted by the state fire marshall in both The Dalles and Hood River.

Fire Season Comes Early to the Columbia Basin Amid High Temps- Evacuations and Heat Advisory in Affect
There is a level 3 GO NOW evacuation in effect for a small portion of Kelley Springs Rd to the northeast of the fire. A heat advisory is currently in place for June 21st in the Columbia River Basin.
