North Wasco County School District held drop-in tours of The Dalles High School on Thursday, September 14th from 4-7 p.m., giving voters an inside look at the building before the November vote on a $140 million bond to build new high school facilities. Mosier School Board held a special in person board meeting to introduce their new Interim Executive Director Matt Henry, and to provide an update on facilities projects to improve safety and security at the school following threats of gun violence in April of 2023.

Today the Community Backpack Program had their first day of operation at their new location at Columbia Gorge Food Bank located at 3525 Crates Way, in The Dalles. Volunteers packed 195 bags with take-home weekend meal supplies for food insecure students in the area.
