“Supernatural occurrences have always been a part of life in the Gorge, but now they are on the rise, and for good reason,” said James Szubski, Owner of Margie’s Outdoor Store. “Tracking these events has become more important than ever, so Margie's has signed on to help gather information for our local Warden & Protector.”

Michael Springston said that intimidation caused him to withdraw his candidacy for Wasco County Commissioner on Tuesday, March 8. Members of his own Party, the Wasco County Republicans, led him to the decision, he said.

A 23-year-old man was cited and released for drunken driving after allegedly eluding officers in a chase that saw a BMW hit a fire hydrant and then a fence at the corner of Liberty and Fourth streets in The Dalles on Monday, March 7.

Mar 8 Lopez selected to take vacant seat on D21 School Board

Board member Brian Stevens made the motion to select Lopez after noting all of the candidates were well qualified and committed to the community. He also added that Lopez, who resides in Mosier, “checked the box” for representing the people of Zone 1 as Mosier is the densest area of the population in that zone.
