This investigation is still active and any information can help bring justice for Michael. We are aware of several direct witnesses who left prior to police arriving and we wish to speak to all of them

A 22-year-old man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting early Saturday in The Dalles was arrested and remained in the Clark County Jail in Vancouver, Wash., on June 24, on a fugitive warrant.

At 10:30 a.m. this morning, Wasco County District Attorney Matthew Ellis was at the site of the shooting in front of the Astro gas station, 2914 W. Sixth Street. A stolen 10-ton boom truck rammed through the gate at the Crestline Construction yard in the Port of The Dalles. The boom truck struck a police vehicle before the driver was mortally wounded in gunfire, according to police.

Officers and WCSO deputies fired on the driver while the driver directed the truck at officers and failed to yield or follow directions. Two Deputies and one City Officer fired their issued police firearms.

A black sports car seen here is leaving the area of a shooting at Ninth and Bridge streets in The Dalles on Aug. 17. The driver of a Dodge Charger reported 9 minutes later that his window had been shot out.

With a vehicle stolen at knifepoint, Oregon State Police assisted The Dalles Police & Wasco County Sheriff’s Office in subduing suspect in Cascade Square parking lot.

Hood River Police Department says Cascade Ave from 20th to Rand Road is closed while officers wait for assistance. Public is asked to remain clear form the area and choose alternate travel routes

The Dalles Police Department reported today, April 6, that two of their vehicles and their station were struck by bullets in what they believe is a drive-by shooting that happened 10 days ago on March 28. Read more.
