Fair weather and good conversation greet big crowd at Kiwanis Steak Feed

I met my scalper, Kiwanian Dennis Morgan, in the parking lot. He set me up with two delightful tickets for my wife Peggy and myself with seating, well, anywhere we wanted. It appeared the crowd was prepared for the event, many bringing their own steak knives. Many opted for Orange Soda and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Oh wait, that was me.

Kiwanis Programs Loaded for June 2021

The Dalles Kiwanis have a loaded schedule for its weekly programs this June. Lisa Commander, education director at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, and Andrea Klaas, executive director of Port of The Dalles, will be speaking in their areas of expertise. TD Kiwanis seize their one day at Sorosis

With brushes in-hand, Kiwanis members spent the beautiful afternoon enjoying the camaraderie and sealing picnic tables and benches at the barbecue area at Sorosis Park. The project has been long-needed at the popular gathering site. The service provided a huge boost to Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation, which received hundreds of hours of free labor.
