TD Kiwanis October Programs focus on housing, houseless issues
I met my scalper, Kiwanian Dennis Morgan, in the parking lot. He set me up with two delightful tickets for my wife Peggy and myself with seating, well, anywhere we wanted. It appeared the crowd was prepared for the event, many bringing their own steak knives. Many opted for Orange Soda and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Oh wait, that was me.

Kiwanis meetings are held every Thursday at noon at Spooky’s and visitors are welcome. This month’s events include several presentations on the foster care program from varying points of view.
The Dalles Kiwanis December Programs
The Dalles Kiwanis have a loaded schedule for its weekly programs this June. Lisa Commander, education director at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, and Andrea Klaas, executive director of Port of The Dalles, will be speaking in their areas of expertise. And then finish it off with a cool one with Steve Light from Freebridge Brewing. Check out the schedule here.

The Dalles Kiwanis Programs for December.
With brushes in-hand, Kiwanis members spent the beautiful afternoon enjoying the camaraderie and sealing picnic tables and benches at the barbecue area at Sorosis Park. The project has been long-needed at the popular gathering site. The service provided a huge boost to Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation, which received hundreds of hours of free labor.
