Columbia River Gorge Quilters’ Guild announces the winners of its annual quilt show. Quilters from around the gorge brought their best work from their sewing tables for judging this year.

World renowned photographer and Mosier resident John Chao invites the public to share a once-in-a-lifetime experience at MoonMountain Highway in Bingen on September 25th, from 6-9 p.m. Chao will display a series of his mega-photographs for the first time ever and will give a talk about his new book 50-Year Vision Quest, a penned memoir composed of 500 photographs taken over his 50 year adventure with the camera.

Artists will open their studios to the community to view their displayed artworks over the weekend to build community, promote artistry and spread inspiration.

Zora Richardson will be taking her talents to Alabama after she wowed judges in Salem on Aug. 7, winning the Oregon Distinguished Young Women’s Program. The ASB President at TDHS said she looked forward to helping out with the 2022 program in Wasco County and thanked those that brought her up.

"You can’t predict a sunset but you know it’s a beautiful view in the Gorge for a sunset anytime," said Portland-painter Elo Wobig.

“This exhibition is a glance at what a common laborer lives during cherry season, it’s just a small slice of the story, but a story that not everyone in the Columbia River Gorge is aware of,” said Méndez.
