Discovery Center gets creepy crawly for kids on Saturday, Oct. 30

Celebrate Halloween with a day dedicated to creepy crawly bugs and bats on Saturday, October 30th from 10 am to 3 pm at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center. Pacific Northwest entomologist Maggie Freeman will be providing lots of fun educational materials including a bug collection of large native moths, butterflies, beetles, cicadas, bumblebees, grasshoppers, dragonflies and LIVE Madagascar hissing cockroaches.

The Dalles Civic Auditorium will be getting quite a facelift in weeks to come as H.B. Painters, Inc. paints the entire building. But first, a lot of prep work must occur.
