Fire Season Comes Early to the Columbia Basin Amid High Temps- Evacuations and Heat Advisory in Affect
There is a level 3 GO NOW evacuation in effect for a small portion of Kelley Springs Rd to the northeast of the fire. A heat advisory is currently in place for June 21st in the Columbia River Basin.

But she ended her sled ride with a smile for her dad, Jacob, and sister, Lolani, 10. Mother Nature powder coated The Dalles this morning, Thursday, Feb. 11. Forecasters apparently pegged this one right with snow expected today and Friday. Accumulations are expected to be between four to 10 inches in the next two days. And temperatures are predicted to drop into the 20s and stay there during the next three days.
The Greatest January Day Ever

Both Riverside Trail and The Dalles Skatepark were bubbling with activity as temperatures in the mid-40s felt a lot warmer with the heat of the sun. Some 5,000 NW Natural Gas customers in White Salmon and Hood River have lost service, and will not likely see it restored until Tuesday and Wednesday this week, according to company officials.
East and West Gorge Weather and Mt Hood Forecast: Air Stagnation Warning in Effect
An air stagnation warning is in effect in Oregon, Upper Hood River Valley and Central Columbia River Gorge until 7:00 PM today. Effected areas include the cities of Odell, Hood River, Carson, and Underwood.
