Nurses claim victory in contract with Mid-Columbia Medical Center

Local Nurses voted on Monday, Nov. 1, in favor of a contract with Mid-Columbia Medical Center that will give them a 10 percent pay increase during the next three years. And MCMC congratulated itself and the Oregon Nurses Association. It took 4 months of working out of contract and descriptions of burnout working conditions before the deal was made.

Children can start receiving COVID vaccine in The Dalles

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown announced this morning that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for children ages 5-11. Vaccine appointments are available at local doctor’s offices and several local pharmacies in The Dalles. Sherman County residents can also sign up for the vaccines at the clinic in Moro.
